MULTI-DIP® automatic systems are designed for production cycles where high level of cleanliness and throughput are required. They are suitable for multiple treatments of parts in baskets or pallets.

The system is extremely compact and can be configured with as many stages as necessary without affecting the output.

 

 

 

In the MULTI-DIP® plants all stages work contemporaneously and each stage can be programmed for stand-by before and after immersion according to the process requirements. All that without influencing the number of stages and the output. These characteristics are at the base of the high output and flexibility offered by the system. The longest plant ever made has 36 fully automatic stages and is 48 meters long, the smallest one (see photo) has only 2 stages and is less than 3 meters long. The output can be up to 1 basket every 40".

 

 

MULTI-DIP® automatic plants can be used with aqueous detergents and hydrocarbons; they are used in the mechanical, automotive and aerospace industry for surface treatments and precision cleaning with or without ultrasonics.  The system is also suitable for NDT by penetrant liquids, alone or integrated in a surface treatment process.

The plant is floor mounted and easily accessible for inspection at all stages. It is composed by a rigid structure forming a complete enclosure extremely compact in all dimensions containing the operating stages and equipment.

The transfer of the basket from one stage to the other is air operated, independent but interlocked with the vertical movement of the process stages with advantages like:

  • Downtime during the process is minimized
  • No limitation or reduction of the output in relation to the number of stages
  • No limitation in the cycle times and process configuration

Operating stages contained in the enclosure are constructed according to the functional principle of the AGI-DIP® washers. Each stage is an independent module with vertical movement of the platform. When all platforms are in standby, the system transfers the baskets to the next stage.

If not loaded a countdown starts and the system stops automatically when all the baskets are processed.

Functions are controlled by PLC with a program panel for settings and monitoring all functions.
